KARACHI: In a thrilling encounter at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, Karachi Kings have set a target of 166 runs for Quetta Gladiators to chase in the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
After winning the toss, Quetta Gladiators’ skipper Riley Rossouw elected to field first, giving Karachi Kings the opportunity to set the pace. Karachi responded with a total of 165 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
James Vince led the batting charge with a solid 37 runs, supported by Mohammad Nawaz’s contribution of 28 runs. Despite quick dismissals for Shan Masood and Hasan Ali, Karachi’s innings saw valuable contributions from Tim Seifert (21), Kieron Pollard (13), and Shoaib Malik (12). Anwar Ali played an unbeaten innings of 25 runs, adding crucial runs to the total.
Quetta Gladiators’ bowling attack put up a spirited performance, with Abrar Ahmed claiming three wickets, while Aqeel Hussain and Osama Tariq chipped in with two wickets each.
