WEB DESK: In a peculiar yet amusing turn of events, Jacob Wright, a software engineer, raised eyebrows as he chose to don his Apple Vision Pro headset on his wedding day amidst the breathtaking backdrop of the Utah mountains.
As captured in their wedding photographs, the bride, Cambree, wore a somewhat unimpressed expression while clutching her bouquet, while Jacob appeared to be lost in thought.
Cambree shared, “I try not to look because it’s a little creepy and uncanny when he’s in the Apple Vision Pro; I let him do his thing.”
The Apple Vision Pro is a cutting-edge virtual reality headset that superimposes digital content onto the real world, offering users control through voice, hand, and eye gestures.
During their photoshoot, Cambree found herself keeping a watchful eye on Jacob to ensure he refrained from attempting to wear the headset during the actual ceremony.
Jacob, an early adopter, had purchased the futuristic headgear just days after its release and managed to convince Cambree to let him incorporate it into their vows.
However, not everyone was on board with Jacob’s unconventional choice. The groom faced a barrage of criticism for his decision, with one social media user humorously questioning, “What’s the return policy on husbands?”
Another commenter quipped, “The divorce papers are already happening.”
It’s worth noting that the trend of donning the Apple Vision Pro seems to be catching on, with various individuals, including actors and YouTubers, showcasing the headset in their daily lives.
While some celebrate the merging of technology with personal experiences, others remain sceptical, particularly when it comes to significant life events like weddings.
